Spurscast #246: Paul and Jake take over

Written by Michael A. De Leon on .

Since Jeff and I have been recording and producing shows pretty much non-stop since last summer, we thought we'd let two of our staff run the asylum this week.

Our lead writer, Paul "Pau" Garcia was joined by staff writer Jake Faunce to talk about the latest in Spurs news.

They first talked about Manu Ginobili and his statement that the San Antonio Spurs peaked too soon, the Spurs' size issue and the possibility of trading Richard Jefferson.

In the second half of the show, Paul and Jake asked if the Spurs could be a defensive ballclub while style having the same run-and-gun offense. Jake also lists some potential Spurs draft picks in both rounds of the upcoming NBA Draft, and close it up with talk on Spurs coach Gregg Popovich's recent comments on Rajon Rondo and DeJuan Blair.

The Spurscast. The original Spurs podcast.

This is a really great back up spurscast team to have as they both did really well for not having done this before. Paul did a good job at hosting and Jake seems to be really informed. These two work well together. Can't wait for more from them both. Cool music intro also! Good job guys.

@THudson Thanks I appreciate it. Apparently to 2 people I sound informed. Not bad

You guy's did a great job for your first time doing an hour long podcast. That's a hard thing to do. Paul did a good job hosting for never doing it before and Jake was really informative when it came to talking about potential spurs draft picks. Nice job guys!

@Splitterfan21 Thanks! Yeah, it was definitely a new task for me. But we'll be doing more in the future and I'll learn to really find that hosting ability.
