Spurscast #243: Storm before the Calm?

Written by Michael A. De Leon on .

Note: This episode was recorded before yesterday's win against the Phoenix Suns.

On this episode of the Spurscast, Jeff and I look back at the six-game losing streak and analyze what went wrong through the entire skid and what the Spurs would need to do to correct them before the playoffs.

Our topic of the week was if San Antonio Spurs fans should be pressing the panic button and if it's too soon to do that. Jeff and I both agreed that we were concerned, but if they extended the streak, concerned would turn to panic quick. Before ending the show, we discussed the latest news including Danny Green's one-game assignment to the Austin Toros.

All the Spurs did was to win one game, if they can prove that they can win tough games going into the playoffs i'd be happy. Now, I'm still concerned if they are really back to the winning track, i'd feel better if they beat the Hawks tomorrow. Also welcome back Danny Green to the Spurs!

It's not time for a panic button we still got the lead over the rest of the NBA and can probably hold on to the number one seed IMO.

If the Spurs can win all their games before facing the Lakers, I'd call it calm before the storm. Right now, I don't what to expect yet.
