After a wild draft night in which the San Antonio Spurs traded guard George Hill to the Indiana Pacers for the rights to Kawhi Leonard, Erazem Lorbek, and Davis Bertans, the team isn't done looking for ways to improve their roster.
The team drafted guard Cory Joseph from the University of Texas and guard Adam Hanga from Hungary, and Joseph is expected to get some minutes next season. If there is a next season.
Hoopsworld.com's Alex Kennedy has said via twitter the Spurs will be holding a free agent mini camp this coming week.
"The Miami Heat, Atlanta Hawks, Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers and San Antonio Spurs will hold free agent mini camps next week."
Kennedy also tweeted that the Spurs will be looking at two wing players in the mini camp.
"Ravern Johnson and DeAngelo Casto will attend the San Antonio Spurs' free agent mini camp next week."
Ravern Johnson is a 6'7, 175 lbs. shooting guard from Mississippi State University. He is scoring guard who averaged 17.6 points per game last season with the Bulldogs. Johnson shot 43% from the field and 40% from three point land this past season. He increased his scoring from 13 points per game his junior season to 17 his senior season. The kid can score.
