The San Antonio Spurs already boast a roster with plenty of guards but it would seem they are still looking at guards to possibly add with training camp coming up next month.
According to Sam Amico, Sebastian Telfair is drawing interest from the Spurs among other teams.

This is an interesting move for San Antonio. They already have Tony Parker, Cory Joseph, Patty Mills, and Nando De Colo who could run the point guard spot and can back up Parker. Should the Spurs add Telfair to an already crowded guard roster lineup, would be an odd move.
Joseph is making huge positive strides, Mills can light up the scoreboard and De Colo can backup TP in spot moments.
Telfair is a 9-year pro who last played with Toronto and Phoenix last season. For his career, he has averaged 7.4 points, 3.5 assists, 1.6 rebounds, and 39 percent from the floor.
Thoughts Spurs fans?
Where there is smoke there is fire. Almost all the rumors regarding players the Spurs are interested in since the end of the season have been either point guards or bigs with a few exceptions. I still stick with my original assertion: The Spurs do not feel comfortable with the guys they have at backup pg if the goal is to win another championship and have a backup pg who can at least 'drive the bus' and be reliable. I think the Spurs are more comfortable with PM or CJ being the emergency backup point and not the first guy off the bench to spell Tony. I don't think Telfair is that guy. And you guys do great work but I disagree that Joseph is making huge positive strides. He looks more and more to me like a guy who could have used another year or two playing in college. I do agree Mills can light it up and that is a unique weapon to have in your arsenal if you want to change things up. De Colo is supposedly playing off the ball this year where there is another logjam. Still calling my shot: Either PM or CJ (hoping it's CJ) are moved-possibly with Bonner and maybe De Colo to get what they need in terms of a reliable vet backup pg and another proven vet at the 4/5 who can rebound-one of our huge weaknesses. I don't know WHO those guys are, just seems to me a lot more smoke than usual for the Spurs in the offseason and most all of it related to bigs or point guards. That's my thoughts, for what they are worth. Keep up the great job guys. You are the ONLY Spurs news source in town that's doing real work.
@gymbear thanks for the compliment. means a lot to the team here at PS.
@JeffProjectSpurs @gymbear Sincerely man. You guys keep it up. This is our only real professional sports team in SA and even if/when another (not counting our current soccer team) sports team arrives-hopefully MLB or NFL, it will always be Spurs city first. I don't understand how our supposed 'news paper' has turned into such a vapid exercises in lazy journalism. There is always something to report on when it comes to the Spurs if you do your due diligence-which you guys do. Keep it up!
