At media day, ESPN SA's "The Blitz" with Jason Minnix and Dat Nguyen spoke with San Antonio Spurs' Danny Green about the upcoming season and his offseason.
Aside from the obvious that he is still feeling the sting of losing in the NBA Finals, Green did reveal he put in a lot of work into his game in the offseason. From hs footwork, finishing at the rim to keeping his jump shot fresh, Green said he did plenty of work for the upcoming season and feels the Spurs will be pleased with his improvements.
Take a listen to the interview from ESPN SA's "The Blitz."
As long as Danny can handle the rock like a 2 guard should be able to in the NBA and if he can at least create his shot from time to time and yes, finish at the rim on occasion, I'm totally fine with that. He's got to know that with Marco and Manu, Pop can (and probably) will, yank him if he starts doing the icy/hot thing.
What I'd like to see Pop do with Danny is what Pistons used to do with the Microwave: If his shot's falling, keep feeding him the ball and keep him in the game. If he misses his first 5,6 shots-sit him.
I like Danny's d and rebounding and when he's knocking down 3's-his game just needs to evolve to the point he's reliable and offensively he's more than a 3 point shooter.
