San Antonio Spurs 2013 NBA Draft pick, Deshaun Thomas, will spend this year overseas playing with French squad Nanterre. The time spent overseas will hopefully get him ready to make the transition to the NBA should he ever suit up for the Spurs.
Playing away from the United States and in a different league other than the NBA will take some time for Thomas to get used to but in the video below, it seems he is adjusting just fine.
Thomas spoke on joining Nanterre and how the team is preparing for Euroleague play, and what he will bring to Nanterre including bringing the effort, competing and of course, scoring.
Had the opportunity to watch his first game with Nanterre. Guy is an offensive powerhouse and was able to shoot the lights out with his limited time on the court. 11pts off the bench. He definitely has an upside offensively, but it is a great thing to have him overseas to develop his D game, needs a lot of improvement. Can't wait to see him come back stateside hopefully within 2+yrs
@TimmyP Ya, hopefully he can play well enough to earn even more mins.
