With the San Antonio Spurs' Summer League team down 68-67 after a Charlotte three-pointer to take the lead, the Spurs had 12.3 seconds left to make something happen.
Enter guard Cory Joseph.
With plenty of time on the game-clock in the fourth quarter, Joseph took the ball down the court and with veteran-type poise, hit the game-winning shot for San Antonio. The Spurs won their first Summer League game, 69-68.
Cory Joseph looked really confident in this game. At the beginning of the season I thought he was the odd man out with the addition of De Colo. But, he is clearly above De Colo at this point. The back up point guard spot has a clear leader right now. And that's Cory Joseph.
