I'd rather Spurs receive Jordan Hamilton for Neal. Nuggets are getting the best of that deal if Mosgov is it. Too many bigs already and with Oden coming on board too! -- (out on a not too far limb prediction). Spurs interestingly still have a few more moves left to decide on after Neal's release.
I wonder if the spurs are still concerned about the backup point guard spot and might be looking to get Andre Miller in the deal too. Package a couple of current guys with Neal, maybe get Jordan Hamilton in the deal to be the backup SF.
Meh. Malcolm Thomas was just released by Chicago ... I'd be more interested in him than another project big-man (Richards, Baynes, Pendergraph are enough, and that assumes NO Oden!).
As a Nuggets fan, I wish they would make a decision on Mozgov already. We don't have a real back up center yet (JJ Hickson is totally undersized) and while he almost never played, I really liked what I saw. I've watched almost every game since he's come to the team and I think he could be pretty solid given more minutes. I wish we could have seen more of him last year and was hoping that I would see him this year. For some reason the nuggets are taking forever to sign him. I think having a back up center is more important than like 50 guards. Though I really like Neal
@jroggero Hey friend, I am a Nuggets fan as well. I think we should let Mozgov go. Randolph is 6'11" and can block shots just fine to be our backup center. If we can land Gary Neal for Mozgov, I am 100% for it. Dunno what that would mean for Erick Green/Quincy Miller but it would be worth it
The big Russian has given me NO REASON to want him to be on the Spurs roster. Have barely seen him play even during mop up time. I'd rather go with one of our homegrown draft picks or free agent signees who have more upside.
