There was no doubt Manu Ginobili was not going to re-sign with the San Antonio Spurs; the team he has only been with for 11 seasons in the NBA. For those 11 seasons, he has brought the franchises many memories, helped the team win three NBA titles, and countless highlight worthy moments.
And though his performance in the postseason may have caused many to question whether he has anything left in the proverbial tank, his teammate, Tony Parker, still feel the best is yet to come from No. 20.
"I still feel like Manu is saving his best for last," ... "I can feel a big finale for him. That would be nice; we are definitely going to need it."
In these final season with Manu in black and silver, fans need to know he probably will not be the Manu of old. He will still be an effective player but more a facilitator and not put up the nightly stats.
But like Parker says, this team still needs Manu if they want to head back to the NBA Finals. His leadership, playoff experience, chemistry with Tim Duncan and Parker and punch off the bench will be needed next season.
And if this is indeed Manu's final run in the NBA, then soak in these best moments while you still can.

Manu is still one of the best facilitators in the game even in his older years, no one else can zip it by a defender's head or send it in between the defender's legs to a wide open man rolling to the basket. And to be honest I have really admired the Tony has been speaking out about the team, you can really feel the confidence pouring out of this guy. I loved how after the Western Conf. Finals he spoke about how he promised Timmy they would get to the Finals after losing to the Thunder last year. Now he feels there's more left from Manu?! I don't know about you guys but that makes some of my doubts go away for this upcoming year. Manu, Tony, Timmy and Kawhi you too, let's go get it done #oneforthethumb
