I wonder if some sort of a sign and trade deal sending Blair to the Wizards for Jan Vesely. Vesely is 6' 11", 240 lbs and 23 years old. Hasn't shown much but had a fairly good summer league.Might be able to work into something in the Spurs organization. Any thoughts?
i was sad it didn't work out here for dejuan, but the fact is he wasn't a good matchup against the bigger teams like the lakers (of 2+ yrs ago), thunder and grizzlies. even though tiago doesn't provide that much more than dejuan on offense, he is a better defender and matchup in most situations, and where tiago wasn't a good matchup (miami) diaw is slightly more reliable on both ends than blair. wish him the best. he definitely deserves another chance form someone.
Even he goes to the Wiz I still can't see his minutes unless some injuries occur. The Wiz are loaded with frontline including Okafor, Nene, Seraphin, Vesley, Booker, even Singleton can play PF. it's obvious that how much DB want to leave SA, even playing time is still uncertain on the new team.
If only he can shoot open jumpers the way Malik Rose did in the past, it would have been a very big difference. Good Luck anyways DeJuan! No hate, just love.
blair can help a team, its just unfortunate that he cant really help us anymore, he doesnt fit and type of big that we need in san antonio. but he should go to a team that is more periemter oriented like a goldent state or the suns. a team that is so fast paced that they dont really focus on great defense. thats a team that he can succeed on. ditto for neal. i am shocked that neal and blair havent been picked up yet. especially when u have other free agents that arent as good as they are that are getting picked up. im surprised the rockets havent made a pitch to blair or neal
