Video: Who wants to hear Popovich speak Russian?

Written by Jeff Garcia on .

Before he was one of the NBA's best head coach, San Antonio Spurs' Gregg Popovich graduated with a bachelor's degree in Soviet Studies from the United States Air Force Academy and toured Eastern Europe and the Soviet Union with the U.S. Armed Forces Basketball Team.

So it shouldn't come to much of a surprise to know he can also speak Russian.

I have no idea what he is saying (aside from "San Antonio Spurs," "Gregg Popovich," and "NBA) but check out Pop flexing his Russian speaking skills.

Even in Russian, Pop still manages to look cool and give the Pop "thumbs up" move. At least he will be alright if he ever takes up that coaching offer for the Russian national team
