Report: Suns' Brown to appeal flagrant foul on Ginobili
During the Phoenix Suns visit to the AT&T Center against the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday, Shannon Brown was ejected for a nasty flagrant foul on San Antonio Spurs' Manu Ginobili during the final seconds of the third quarter. Now it seems that Brown is still pleading his innocence to the league and he's going to appeal the call that the foul was a flagrant 2, per Arizona Central.com's Paul Coro via Twitter.

This may anger some Spurs fans as the hit seemed to be blatant from different views on the court. As you can see the video below above.
This play happened right after Brown called Ginobili back on the Spurs' end of the floor a play or two before. As you can tell, Brown had no way of actually getting to the ball nor did he try to stop himself when he knew the ball was out of his reach. If you check out the 43 second mark and that angle that the cameras gave, you can see from Brown's faces and eyes that he wasn't even looking to make a play on the ball. He was staring at Manu's head the whole time and decided to stretch his arm out to hit Ginobili as hard as he could. His reaction after the foul didn't seem genuine either, as if he thought it was just another regular foul or a touch foul.
His appeal would also mean he thought he had a legitimate chance to block the shot, even though it's clear that he wasn't close enough nor had an angle for a clean block.
What do you Spurs fans think about Brown appealing the flagrant 2 call? Was it just a normal hard foul or was it an excessive hit to the head?

Shannon Brown is mad because Manu drove passed him and the only thing Brown could do to stop him his smack him in the face so maybe he wouldn't see and miss the shot. C'mon! Brown you got to admit you were wrong since it took place.

@alamoaggie08 agreed. i was hoping Baynes would check it or even Jackson or Blair and send a "message" to Brown later in the game

he won't win the appeal. he's actually lucky morris was there to soften manu's fall, otherwise it could have been much worse.

No it was on purpose and he's lying, I mean just look at his face when he hits Manu.
