Duncan injury update

Written by Jose Grijalva on .

Tim Duncan suffered an injury during the second quarter against the Washington Wizards when Martell Webster rolled onto his leg after a layup attempt. The official statement from the team during the game:

: Tim Duncan suffered a sprained right ankle and a sprained left knee. He will not return to tonight's game. (@Spurs)

Hopefully it's not too serious for the stretch run the Spurs are about to have on the Rodeo Road Trip. The aquisition for Aron Baynes looks like a great insurance policy at this point for the team.

Here's to wishing Timmy a speedy recovery. Looks like we might just see an early recall of Baynes from the Toros. I'm pretty stoked to see how he over several games (limited minutes of course).
