The San Antonio Spurs announced that Tim Duncan will be day-to-day with a chest contusion.
Duncan, doubtful for tomorrow's game against the Los Angeles Lakers, traveled with the team on their three-game west coast road trip. The Spurs are slated to play in Portlandand Denver . The 17-year-veteran collided with Memphis Grizzlies shooting guard Tony Allen in the third quarter. He left the game, and Memphis outscored the Spurs by 10 points in the final 21 minutes of the game to cut the final margin to seven points.
San Antonio is 13-8 in the past two seasons without Duncan in the lineup.
No one clears space by effectively throwing his elbows more than Timmy. Its part of the game.
In fact, if my old buddy, Tiago Roundball, would lead with his elbows a bit more and issue a chest contusion or two here and there, he would likely find it easier to protect the ball in the paint.
There, I said it ;-)
