Video: Spurs' Bonner says players were not consulted on 'no-flopping' rule

Written by Jeff Garcia on .

San Antonio Spurs' Matt Bonner is a union rep for the player's association so when he was asked his thoughts on the NBA's new "no-flopping" rule, he made it very clear about his feelings on the rule.

Bonner says the NBA did not consult the players and he clearly seems bothered by the NBA just implementing the new rule.

What do you have to say Spurs fans? Do you agree with Bonner that the NBA should have spoke with the players or not? We're interested in hearing your thoughts.

lol..ridiculous to expect your EMPLOYER to ask EMPLOYEES if its ok to make a rule. Some of these guys really need a reality check..and Hunter and his brood of family members/employees need a pink slip.

@Spursfan66 Agreed. All the players complaining about the rule are making themselves look bad.  It needs to happen, flopping has gotten way too out of control.  The amount of money is a drop in the bucket so I'm sure there will still be plenty of it going around.  The only way Stern can screw this up is by showing favoritism with his fines, which he probably will do.  I do agree with Matty that there is probably a better way of solving the issue, though, but his reasoning for being upset is a bit absurd.
