Spurs waive JaMychal Green, Wesley Witherspoon

he San Antonio Spurs just announced that they have waived forwards JaMychal Green and Wesley Witherspoon.
We told you about the Spurs signing Green on Tuesday and Witherspoon recently talked about wanting to start his NBA career in San Antonio. Unfortunately for both players, they stint with the Spurs ends today.
Green didn't have an opportunity to play in a game for the Spurs and Witherspoon averaged 8.3 points and two rebounds in just over 15 minutes during the preseason.
That brings the roster to 15 players. The Spurs can keep the maximum 15 players, with three on the injured list, but they'll have to decide soon whether or not to keep remaining training-camp hopeful Josh Powell on the roster with their regular season tipoff coming next Wednesday against the Hornets.
While this baffles me as well, I can only imagine a possible trade or keeping a roster spot open (for what prospect?) to bring yet another FA in to run through our system of checks only to fail.. Sounds like the FO is trying to do what it can to keep the team competitive yet save money at the same time.. We will follow them to end of course , the true fans we are.. Deep into the playoffs when the threes stop falling, shooters go cold, getting used in the paint and wishing we had that big we let go of in training camp :-/

Now there is only 1. Josh Powell is the only one remaining. Maybe he will be signed, but there is little hope. He stands at 6'9" not the right height. If he were 6'3" - 6'5" he might be. Sorry lad. Hurrah. soon everybody in the lineup will stand 6'3" - 6'5"!
yeah your definitely right on that one rtesoro.... i dont understand why..they bring these talented guys whom who could really help us,then end up being cut!!!!!!! powell,brown,curry,can create their own shoot, as compare to bonner /blair, come playoff . were defense will be tighter, and when our jumpshots and 3's(which is only our main weapon)will not be falling,the results will be the same or even lesser, we need an athletic ,pf,and bigman in the middle.......small ball can only go that much in the regular season...... looking at our roster...i dont know how in the earth can we defend gasol/howard, gasol/randolf, ibaka/perkins,
