It takes a big man to admit when he is wrong and “Sir” Charles Barkley sure does fit the bill.
On a recent Inside the NBA segment, Barkley admitted that he was premature in writing off the “old” fellas that comprise the core of the San Antonio Spurs
You would think that he would have learned his lesson by now.
While Barkley is respectful of the talent of the Spurs’ “Big Three” of Manu Ginobili, Tim Duncan and Tony Parker, he has failed on numerous occasions to see the value of consistency of leadership and coaching staff can have on a team being regarded among the elite teams for over a decade and a half.
While other teams may be copying the “Big Three” concept (i.e. Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets, Oklahoma City Thunder), but they are learning that accumulating the talent is just the first step, you have make sure they mesh together and believe in what the coaching staff wants to do, otherwise you simply have a group of individuals that will resort to playing “hero ball” and put the individual before the team.
If egos are not checked at the door, you see folks feeling that they can do better on their own and will begin to look towards situations that will let yield them the “alpha male” role.
Unfortunately they find out that things go shots are a lot easier to make when the defense is focusing on stopping an entire team rather then being able to focus their attention on stopping you.
So Spurs’ fans, how much crow do you think “Sir” Charles will be eating enough crow to undo all that weight he lost during his Weight Watchers Diet?
Project Spurs, are you going to eat crow and how much crow and will be eating crow to undo all your errors? While I like this post (i.e. the article above), but it is accumulating the typos. You should look for situations that will let yield more readers.
[See, doesn't that give you a headache? No? Just me?]
Barkley will never let up with the fat women jokes. Heck, cities like Memphis, HOUSTON, Philadelphia, and Phoenix are all fatter cities than San Antonio, according to studies, yet he never mentions those cities. I've been to Houston many times, and my goodness, they have more fat PEOPLE (women AND men) than SA. It's funny because three of the four cities I listed, Barkley played for them.
But back to the topic, Barkley is and will eat crow for the remainder of the season.
Guys, I've never been an internet grammar cop, but y'all appear to be uploading stories too quickly, without copy editing them first. It's getting hard to read this stuff.
