Ryan Richards joins Polish team Asseco

Written by Jeff Garcia on .

It's been a while since we heard from San Antonio Spurs 2010 draftee Ryan Richards since he played with the Spurs' Summer League team, however, according to Sportando, Richards has signed with Polish team Asseco Prokom Gdynia.

Asseco plays in the Polish Basketball League and Euroleague so Ryan will get some solid competition which should help him further develop his game. Last season, the team won the Polish championship.

But for Richards, hopefully it will be a fresh start after a rocky few seasons. He abruptly quit Team Great Britain to play for Jamaica and even left his previous team, Swiss club Lugano Tigers, citing personal reasons.

While with the Spurs Summer League squad, Ryan averaged 3.3 points, 2.8 rebounds, shot 35% from the field in 11 minutes.

No one cares about Ryan Richards anymore. He moves around from team to team for god knows what reason, and he doesn't even perform that well. Also, the teams he joins are teams that are not even part of big, legitimate leagues. Who cares at this point? He'll most likely never make the team, so forget about him.
