Kawhi Leonard out 10-14 days with tendinitis

Kawhi LeonardThe San Antonio Spurs will be missing their defensive ace tomorrow night as Andre Iguodala and the Denver Nuggets come to San Antonio.

The Spurs announced today that starting forward Kawhi Leonard will be out 10-14 days with an injury in his left knee.

The San Antonio Spurs today announced that Kawhi Leonard is suffering from quadriceps tendinitis in his left knee. The diagnosis was confirmed in an MRI which was performed earlier today. Leonard is expected to be out of action for 10-14 days. He is not scheduled to travel with the Spurs on the team’s upcoming six-game road trip that begins on Wednesday, Nov. 21 in Boston.
Leonard has been averaging 10.6 points and 5.4 rebounds per game so far this season, and his injury makes the Spurs a little thin at the small forward position.

With an abundance of guards available, the Spurs could slide Danny Green over to small forward and start Manu Ginobili at shooting guard with Stephen Jackson and Gary Neal staying in backup roles. The injury is definitely a loss defensively for the Sours, who use Leonard on the opposing team's best scorer on a nightly basis.

Maybe we should go after the team doctor in Phoenix, players just kinda restore their health there; Grant Hill, Michael Redd, ....

This is a big blow for us, because kawhi was just beginning to shoot the ball well and his defense was just outstanding these past few games.

Why not bring someone over from the D-League? Maybe Wilkerson, Witherspoon or JaMychal Green can help out for the time being. That, or maybe they can put Danny Green and Stephen Jackson at the small forward position, move Manu to starting shooting guard with Neal and Nando De Colo as the backups. Come on Pop, you have to start playing Nando just a TAD BIT more now. Putting him in for 5 minutes every other game doesn't do much for him. When we bought Gary Neal in (who went undrafted), he got way more playing time his rookie year than Nando (who actually did get drafted and is good enough to be on an Olympic team) is geting right now.

Leonard is one of the bright stars of the Spurs lineup. With him out, it is expected they will fold as they did against the Knicks. Leading by 12 in the last canto and still lost by 4 is not only bobo but they played like 3rd rate team. It was unpardonable. Coach Pop sat down Neal because he got a fat 0 against the Lakers. He should have been fielded when everybody was missing. Mills is far from ready. With Leonard out, the Spurs are down to 12 men. Something is bothering Diaw. He got another fat egg. Back to his previous Bobcat days? He should ask to be traded if he is uncomfortable with the Spurs.

Is saying the truth bad? Now Neal is out with cur finger and the Spurs are down to 11 players. Was leading by 12 in the last quarter and losing by 4 not true? Is it usual for thr Spurs? Is it not true that Diaw has a history of playing poorly and out shape? You idolize the Spurs so much that you lost your perspective. I tell the truth that they can become bertter not an apologist of your kind.

@rtesoro440  @BlazingDeath About half of the points you had there were not facts, but ridiculous opinions that have absolutely no justification behind them.

So can we please give de Colo some playing time because of this?

I've always thought of Green as a 3 and Leonard as a 4!

I think the Spurs should start:

1 Parker (Mills, De Colo) Joseph*

2 Ginobili (Neal)

3 Green

4 Jackson (Leonard*, Diaw, Blair, Bonner)

5 Duncan (Splitter)

I still think there's no room for Blair or Bonner. The spurs need a big that can block and a ball-handleing small that can slash.
