Video: Knicks' Chandler says Duncan toughest ever to guard

Written by Jeff Garcia on .

New York Knicks' Tyson Chandler was recently named the 2011-12 NBA Defensive Player of the Year. By winning it, he snapped Dwight Howard's streak at winning the award and brought defense to a Knicks team not known for playing defense, especially during Mike D'Antoni's tenure.

Chandler was recently interviewed by Dime Magazine, and spoke about the toughest player he ever had to guard - San Antonio Spurs' Tim Duncan.

From saying TD was unstoppable in his prime to talking about how gifted Duncan is and much, much more check out what Chandler had to say about Timmy.

Only the sportswriters don't believe TD. They takehim for granted.

As a certified Tim Duncan fanatic, it's always satisfying to hear other great players in the league be completely honest about his abilities.  Tyson Chandler just went up a few notches in my book.  Congrats, Tyson, on the DPOY award!!

Surprised he didn't add Shaq to his list...

I love hearing NBA players humble themselves and talk about who they believe are the best players; who better to describe how great a player is than those who are forced to guard them?

@russman138 Tim has the bankshot and running hook(left or right). Shaq has 'the elbows.'
