Hanga discusses visit to San Antonio

Written by Paul Garcia on .

A few days ago, I put up a photo gallery that showed pictures San Antonio Spurs 2011 draftee AdamAH Hanga had been posting on his Facebook account. In those photos, it shows him exploring the city, working out in the Spurs' practice facility, and watching an international game.

Well, the Hungarian site Sport.hir24.hu recently caught up with Hanga and he spoke about his workouts and time with the Spurs.

Hanga first said he worked out alone, but he also said many Spurs officials were watching him.

"When I arrived, the first days I received more technical training," said Hanga Adam. "For the most part I was alone when I worked, and at least four to five coaches were watching every move of mine.

"Spurs management, from day one, were there to help and support me in everything."

After, Hanga explains that he met Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich and said the Spurs have instructed him to follow a training program for the 2012-2013 season when he returns to play in Europe.

Hanga isn't expected to play this season in San Antonio, but he'll definitely be a strong possibility next season so long as he follows the orders the Spurs have given him, and he continues to work on his game in the areas the Spurs have targeted.

Yea Hanga has got some hops and athleticism alright.  Appears to look for just the spectacular jump and dunk.  Pop has run off so many of those type of players its incredible, but they just don't fit.  If Hanga can really discipline himself and focus more on ball handling skills, passing, and of course defense as I'm sure Pop instructed him for this coming season, he can come back and challenge for a spot.  Listen to Pop Adam !!!

so on the real now (although I like the one sided trade talk) I can't wait for hanga to come over to san antonio, he will have a good chance to be manu's back up and have a bright career in the league thats the best case scanario. worst case, he will be a rotation player for a few years. he's got size, athletism and talent I think his only knock is/was his defense. Which as we all know, he needs to improve. He won't play much for pop and the spurs if he doesn't do that but he will have time to improve and hopefully make the most of it because he is a difference maker!

Hey dude, He's just 23 years old, and he's got a lot to help the Spurs at the 13-14 season. When I suppose they bring him over, and sign him.

@rtesoro440 if he's not ready, he's not ready. They drafted Corey Joseph and he's not ready and he went to d league.

@spursfan80 I'm still waiting for the spurs to draft Tim Duncan 2.0 with the 29th pick next season after being outed in the 1st round by the lakers after the lakers trade Matt Barnes for Dwight Howard. Oh and I'm expecting they should be able to trade their second round pick and Matt bonner for lamarcus Aldridge.

@JohnAbney oh, definitely! GM's have it easy. People make it out like getting talent is so hard. I'm sure within a month as GM I could get durant, rose, wade and Howard all for Gary neal, Splitter, Blair and a future second round draft pick!
