Video: Ginobili takes out LeBron James
Written by Jeff Garcia on .
Team USA narrowly escaped an exhibition game against Team Argentina and San Antonio Spurs' Manu Ginobili winning 86-80 but the game wasn't without its testy moments.
During the game Chris Paul handed out a bit extra on a foul, Luis Scola and Kevin Durant got in each other's face and LeBron James got mixed up in the confrontation. And though I am sure he didn't mean any harm, Ginobili handed out a hard foul on James when James was driving to the basket. Check it out.
Seeing how once James gets going to the rim, it is very hard to stop him so perhaps this was the best Manu could do to prevent the easy basket. But did anyone catch how when Manu is a good sport and offers to help up James but LeBron doesn't take the offer?
Please go to the video on YouTube to read the comments for a laugh. They act as if Manu tried to shoot at Lebron's ACL and MCL in mid-air. Apparently, USA men's basketball has turned into a bunch of protective pansies who are just looking for a paycheck (queue D-Wade quote). I'll be sure to root for Argentina this year.
a total acting job from baby bron bron ( someone get him his binkie!) he landed on his knees than decided to go down... way to sell it lebron, maybe that's the only way he could've stopped that Argentine team because they were really starting to take it to them. It was really nice to see Manu be Manu with another team, he was absolutely just dropping 3 after 3!
Oh come on, on lebron, that's not even a hard foul. Ginobili just wrapped his arms around him for a split second, then released, he didn't even attempt to pull him down. The foul looks worse than it really is, and I think Lebron did a SLIGHT acting job on the landing.
I think it was prigioni that was trying to help lebum up, but never the less nice foul by ginobili, no easy baskets baby!
