Mavs' Terry thinks the Spurs' schedule will doom them

Written by Jeff Garcia on .

To say Dallas Mavericks' Jason Terry is not well-liked among San Antonio Spurs fans is a bit of an understatement.

Terry has rarely spoke fondly of the Spurs and never bites his tounge when it comes to ribbing San Antonio whenever the chance presents itself.

Well here we go again.

The Spurs have had plenty of home games scheduled in this truncated season (nine) and San Antonio has won them all. And it is because of this that Terry feels will eventually doom the Spurs.

I look at San Antonio, what they're doing at home right now, and I'm trying to figure out how they've been scheduled to have nine games at home already. They've won 'em all. The schedule will change and it's going to bite them in the butt, too.

I think I speak for Spurs fans when I say "Jet" needs to shut it and worry about his own team. Dallas hasn't exactly looked like the defending champs and repeating doesn't seem likely.

Not only that, Dallas doesn't exactly end the regular season with tons of home games. For April, the Mavs have seven games on the road with six in Dallas. It's also noteworthy the Mavs finish the regular season with two road games.

At least the Spurs have eight home and eight road games to finish out the season Terry.

Worry about your own team. The spurs will find there way on the road and when T.J and Manu come back. We will be better. Oh, and I think we will go 4-0 against the so called Defending Champs.

There should be a book of funny/stupid Jason Terry quotes - it would be like 1000 pages long

@Jriv420 Your team is trash this year. Chandler, Barea, and Steveson all left Dallas because of your owner being cheap and stupid. Congratulations on the Mavs one championship for the next few decades. How about you come back and talk to me when you have 4 rings? Or maybe when your team drafts the best power forward of all-time to replace cry-baby Dirk? Hahahaha Dallas still plays second fiddle to the Spurs. Remember me as you watch your season go down in flames in the post-season if you even make it.

@CraigThomas Lol or maybe our owner is being smart by signing everyone 1-year contracts in order to get Dwight Howard and deron Williams, watch I promise you Dallas will have them both this off season. If dirk is a cry baby for winning a championship, might as well call Michael Jordan a cry baby as well, oh and Tim Duncan too

@mikk323 Hahaha that's funny. No I hate the Heat more than any other team except the Lakers or Mavs. I will never cheer for the Mavs, their fans are much like Jriv420 and Jason Terry; they have some big mouths but no game to back it up. Also, after the comment from the radio station guy in Dallas saying "Congrats to all of the dirty Mexicans in SA" after the Spurs whooped the Mavs in the playoffs, I think we pretty much understand the level of class Dallas fans have. I used to love D-Wade though before he became part of the Heatles.

I look forward to the battles that Spurs /Dallas usually have. I hope both teams stay competitve , if one does not win I cheer for the other. Hate LA& East Coast teams.

@Jriv420 Remember Dirk throwing a temper-tantrum when D-Wade single handedly beat the Mavs in the Finals and he started throwing stationary bicycles around? Or how about when the Mavs imploded in game 6 of the 2010 playoffs and Dirk started committing terrible fouls and whining to the refs because they were getting blown out of the gym? Hahahaha I remember those times. They showed Dirk's true colors. He's a horrendous post-defender, below-average rebounder for being 7ft, and he's weak mentally. Enjoy your one championship and good luck trying to become the Heat 2.0 I think we all know how that's gonna work out...

Lol! They're 8-7 after last night's loss to the Clippers. You don't follow the NBA, do you now? A bandwagoner perhaps? Lmao! And no, I won't save this blog because I have better things to do than to win an argument against a clueless Mavs troll. 4 championships to 1. By the way, why don't we wait and see what happens during the season before you start making idiotic predictions. And actually, I'm not even sure if you'll be back because you might be banned by then. Lol.

Jriv420

@Emicris @CraigThomas Well those banners are way in the past sorry to tell you... They're 8-6 because they're a completely different team. I'm pretty sure the Miami heat started out pretty badly last year when they first got together. Anyways you better save this blog in your bookmarks because I'm coming back to it right when the spurs get knocked out in the first round lolololol

@Jriv420@CraigThomas

Lol. Dude, I'm not living the past. Right now, as we speak, there are 4 banners in the AT&T Center while there is only one banner in your arena. You just simply don't get it. The Spurs will always be better than the Mavs. In fact, it's true right now! The Spurs are 10-5 at the 3rd seed, while the Mavs are now 8-7 out of the playoff picture. LIke I said, you're not gonna win the war. So be smart and stop trolling on a SPURS blog.

Jriv420
Jriv420

@Emicris @CraigThomas Lol that's like saying the Dallas cowboys have 5 Super Bowl rings and the ravens have 1, when the ravens are obviously a much better team, you're living in the past man, the spurs are pretty much gonna end up like the rockets here in a couple years lol

Lol. And I will be laughing when they get neither. Another classless Mavs troll. You will never win the war because in the end, Spurs have 4 championships and the Mavs only have 1.

@Jriv420 all star games are based more on popularity than skill, so i don't see your point. tim duncan's been an all star for more than a decade, so he's had his fine share. and, only reason the mavs won an nba title is because they were fortunate enough to not face the spurs in the playoffs, so consider your team lucky. :)

Jriv420
Jriv420

@Joey ya poor old Timmy is already out of his prime. Too bad the spurs got annihilated by the heat the other day. Besides didn't the spurs lost to the number 8 seed last year lolololol

@Jriv420@yeah All I hear is excuse excuse excuse.. wah, wah, wah.. You should consider the fact that no team had training camp this year. We lost arguably our best player in Manu and our back up pg in TJ Ford, and have looked to rookies and second year players to fill the void. But you know what, we're finding a way to win ball games. No excuses. The Mavs are happy with one championship.. Dirk even said and I quote, "To get back training again; I was missing some of the motivation that was driving me." Cubans actions, trading away role players that fit perfectly on your championship team, speak loudly and clearly. He is willing to sacrifice this season, so that he could have a chance at getting D-Will and D12 next year. But what if that plan doesn't pan out.. what then.. then you're in a pretty sticky situation. If you have something that works, you should stick with it, b/c with so many young teams coming up, the NBA is more competitive than ever. Oh and by the way, you failed to address my point of you guys being ousted by the lowly 8th seeded Warriors.. after winning 67 games in the regular season, y'all got punked by Baron Davis, Steven Jackson, J-Rich, and Matt Barnes.

Jriv420
Jriv420 like.author.displayName 1 Like

@jayt6 @yeah we did because we had a completely different team that had no chemistry whatsoever, there was also no training camp or anything for them to figure out their roles. When Tyson chandler was traded to the mavs last year everyone doubted him saying he wasn't strong enough to play against the top centers in the league and then he figured out his role and won ship. Same with Miami heat, they started off last year horrible and then they figured out their roles and are the best team in the NBA

@Jriv420@Joey

Hey jackass.. y'all got hammered by the heat on opening day, when you raised your banner. And you lost to a certain 8 seed.. let me recall the goldenstate warriors? At least memphis is a legit team.. took OKC to 7 games.. Gstate got ousted by the Jazz real quick.. they straight up punked the mavs.
