Joseph back with Spurs, Ford out 4-6 weeks

Written by Jeff Garcia on .

The injury bug hits the San Antonio Spurs once again.

Backup point guard T.J. Ford suffered a hamstring injury during the loss in Milwaukee and will be out 4-6 weeks according to head coach Gregg Popovich (via Project Spurs' Paul Garcia). And now that the backcourt is thin, the Spurs have recalled rookie point guard Cory Joseph from the Austin Toros.

Joseph averaged 11.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.75 steals in 31.8 minutes for Austin.

Expect Joseph and Gary Neal to split time backing up Tony Parker with Ford sidelined.

Anderson should go NOT Diogu. Against the rockets he got another big fat egg. Why is coach Pops so enamored to Anderson? He should be waived and get another pf/c. Neal should not be playing point guard but shooting guard. Green should take care of the ball. It almost costs the spurs a game.
