While Tim Duncan and Tony Parker got the San Antonio Spurs off to a blazing start, leading to a 37 point first quarter, the Nuggets bounced back in the second quarter off a 13-0 run.
Guard/Forward Danny Green has been the story of the first half, as he leads all scorers with 11 first half points.
The Nuggets have not respected Green's perimeter shot and sagged off him through most of the half until he buried two three-pointers.
Aside from Green, the Spurs have used a balanced scoring attack, similar to what we saw against the Dallas Mavericks.
T.J. Ford has also done an excellent job finding shooters and will enter the third quarter with six points and five assists. Ty Lawson and Al Harrington are leading the Nuggets with 10 points each.
The thunders stopped the spurs. They are young and eager. The spurs has to reassess its lineup. They need to get young, tall and aggressive pf/c.
Phenomenal game from Green and the spurs. Excited to see that hard-nose, tenacious D back!! Green and Leonard are beginning to look more and more like our sure future. So much room for them to prosper and grow under pop and staff. Anderson will soon follow, I hope.
I have to say I have been down on Danny green, called him garbage, dude has played out of his head since Manu went down. Props to Danny and the FO on not cutting him like I would have liked.
