Cory Joseph Austin bound
The San Antonio Spurs have sent rookie point guard Cory Joseph to their D-League affiliate Austin Toros.
The San Antonio Spurs today announced that they have assigned rookie Cory Joseph to the Austin Toros of the NBA Development League.
Joseph will practice with the Toros today at the Spurs practice site from 1-3 p.m.
This was a good move for Joseph's development. He had been getting spot minutes for San Antonio and was relegated deep on the bench. Plus the Toros run the Spurs' system so once he is recalled, his transition will be smooth.
Also, does this signal the fact the Spurs might be looking to add another play with the loss of Manu Ginobili for 4-6 weeks due to his recent injury?
