Spurs place Thomas on waivers
The San Antonio Spurs have placed on waivers Malcolm Thomas. Thomas played in three games for San Antonio before being sent to their D-League affiliate Austin Toros.
While in Austin, he averaged 9.3 points, 2.5 blocks, 6.8 rebounds in four games in 28 minutes.
Thomas was Kawhi Leonard's teammate at San Diego State and saw significant action with the D-League's Los Angeles D-Fenders before getting the call from the Spurs.

What is the spurs looking for? First, they had the d-league players, then Diogu and now Thomas. The market is running out of big men. Perhaps, the spurs just play as they are and wait for the next draft season.
