San Antonio Spurs fans hate to see Manu Ginobili sitting out games with yet another injury. Everyone knows how important he is to the team and how much better they are with him in the lineup. But as much as it’s killing the fans to see him in his street clothes at game time it sounds like it’s hitting Ginobili even harder.
“As competitive as he is, it’s just killing him,” said
I doubt that there are many things more frustrating than coming back from an injury only to find yourself back off the court only a short time later. It’s been a very tough year for Manu. Hopefully he comes back from his latest injury well rested and ready to help the Spurs compete in the playoffs.
On a brighter note,
Not easy indeed. The Spurs run a great offense and that’s a big reason why.
As the second half of the season starts there questions if the spurs can survive. Other teams will shift gear and make a run. It is doubtful if the spurs can remain on top. March 15 is the deadline to make adjustments. Will the spurs sign another big man to man its interior defense? Many doubts that they will figure in the western championship unless they add another big player. From here on, the battle will become more intense. The spurs just have to sign a big man. Where it will come, it is uncertain. Shop RJefferson and James Anderson for trade may be considered but, with which team? Or, consider free agency. Time is not with the spurs. Mr. Buford, bite the bullet and pull the trigger! Go Spurs!
I can remember when David Robinson came back from an injury in late 95 only to get hurt again. He played 6 games that season. So painful (to me as a fan).
I can't imagine how depressed Manu is being the competitor that he is and now that he's had a lot of time to rest I wouldn't be surprised if he's been thinking more and more about retiremnt. It must be very frustrating to him to go very little time now on the court without getting injured.

@JMattHicks I couldn't agree more. The aligning of the stars come playoff time could be tremendous for the Spurs. I just hope we work out correct rotations and defensive adjustments by that time with all of the injuries occurring.
