Pierce: Some days they fall, some days they don't

Written by Michael A. De Leon on .

Last night's San Antonio Spurs vs. Boston Celtics game gave us yet another close game with some possible theatrics in TD Garden.

After Danny Green forced up a three-pointer that didn't go, the Celtics, who were behind just one point after overcoming a huge deficit in the first half,  had a chance to win it all.

With just over several seconds left, the ball was passed to Celtics forward Paul Pierce. The Celtics typically go to Pierce on isolation plays to try to win close games, but what Pierce didn't expect was a defensive switch bringing Tim Duncan out of the paint to defend his last second fadeaway jumper.

I actually think the goal was to get a Pierce vs Duncan iso. I read something about rivers saying that in an interview after the game.
