Bonner climbing the Spurs' record books, has Finley in sight

Written by Jeff Garcia on .

San Antonio Spurs' Matt Bonner is one of the Spurs' biggest threat from the three-point line and it is because of his specialty, he is on the verge of inching closer to a milestone in his Spurs' career.

Bonner has made 485 three-pointers during his time in San Antonio and is currently in fifth place on the team's all-time three-point field goals made. He recently passed former Spur Chuck Person and is close to passing up Michael Finley who is in fourth place with 490 three-pointers made.

Matt needs six more three-pointers made to pass Finley for fourth place.

Bonner is averaging 43% shooting from behind the arch this season and is ranked tenth in the NBA in three-point field goal percentage. He also averages 1.8 three-pointers made this season.

Tonight the Spurs face the Hornets and Bonner averages 33% shooting from the three-point line against New Orleans this season.

If only Bonner can stay infront of his man, he becomes more effective player. What with his long toms! It is never too late to learn to rebound and guard.
