Locked out players flock to San Antonio, train with Duncan

Written by Jeff Garcia on .

qmtdThe NBA lockout might be raging on but it sure didn't stop a few notable NBA players from taking a trip to San Antonio to train with the best power forward in NBA history, San Antonio Spurs' Tim Duncan.

Indiana Pacers' Roy Hibbert was in the Alamo City to pick up a few pointers from Duncan and fellow big man Denver Nuggets' Nene.

Came out to San Antonio to pick up sum pointers from Tim Duncan n NeNe.

Also in San Antonio was Tiago Splitter, Spurs draftee Cory Joseph, and former Spurs George Hill,Ime Udoka and Sean Marks. Interestingly Bruce Bowen was in attendance. Let's hope he was giving Joseph some pointers on how to play lock down defense.

As for Hibbert training with TD, I hope he didn't learn too much where he hurts the Spurs when they face the Pacers.

Also, seeing how Nene is a free agent, I hope he liked playing with Duncan and the awesome San Antonio weather. Yeah that's a huge hint I'm throwing at you Nene!

I hope NeNe likes playing with Hibbs and GHill. I would love to see him in a Pacer uniform. We could use ll the help we can get to be an elite team like SA.

It's nice to have a guy that was sooo loved by his former team. I can't wait for the season to start. I remember when Mark Jackson was traded from Indy back in the day. I couldn't stand watching him inn another uni, but that's the way it goes. Good luck to your Spurs!

If Nene comes here we win at least two more championships. Tiago, Duncan and Nene with Blair and Bonner to split backup time at the 4? Or bring over Richards and shop/trade Blair/Bonner. Make it happen guys! Can't wait to see the competition for the three spot too, sure hope we have a season this year!

Why no Kwahi at this session (unless I'm missing him on the photo)?

I would rather have Hibbert than Nene. Nene is a better offensive player, but I just cannot forget Hibbert's 7-2 frame and his potential.

If nene went to san antonio to have a feel how to play with the spurs. I hope feeling is important enough for for ro sign in. He could be the next franchise player of the team. If he joins, the spurs could have another run for the title before TD hangs his sneakers. Another big pf/c and pg and we could have another hurrah! Let's go spurs!
