In last night's San Antonio Spurs obliteration of the Miami Heat, Heat center Erick Dampier was tossed from the game when he shoved Spurs' Tony Parker while Parker was going up for a layup in the third quarter. Fortunately, Parker - who just returned to action after suffering a calf injury - got back up and he and the Spurs continued their onslaught of the Heat.
Today, the NBA fined Dampier $10,000 for the shove.
It's clear that Dampier has personal vendatta against Parker and the Spurs. Ban his from the NBA and let him join wrestling!
he deserves worse. when he was in dallas he promised to "put parker on his a$s" he has a motive for parker and that shove was ridiculous. he should be suspended on top of that fine. it was a dangerous shove that could have turned out worse. glad TP is ok.
@claudiam16 Indeed but in a way if it did escalate, it would have brought the team closer like they have each others backs. but you know pop wouldnt go for that. at least the fighting on the court
@JeffProjectSpurs yeah to be honest i thought somebody was going to step up. it could of escalated into something more, but i think the spurs have way to much class to deal with someone as dirty as dampier lol
@claudiam16 I really thought some other Spurs player was going to tell Dampier something to defend TP. Like what McDyess did a while back.
