After recovering from shoulder injury, San Antonio Spurs 2010 NBA draftee Ryan Richards returned to the court for Great Britain's U20 squad as his team took on Scotland's U23 squad.
Though Richards towers above the rest, and is physically imposing, as you can see, his skill-set and all around game looks very promising. He shows he can handle the ball for a big man, and can definitely finish at the rim with a nasty cross-over move and dunk.
Richards finished with 17 points, eight rebounds, three assists and two blocks in 15 minutes.
Jeff, come on now man. I know it may be somewhat tasking to find things to discuss lately but this isn't a good sign...
I agree Ryan Richards is someone who we need to keep an eye on but that video in particular is BAD. He looks like the big kid on the playground. The overall quality of basketball being played, wherever he is, is sub D league level - he stands out because he's a foot taller. It reminds me of watching HS JV games when one of the tall varsity players is coming off of an injury and they start him in a JV game as a rehab assignment and he goes off for 30 pts.
Keep the info about the Euro league stashed players coming but find better video please.
@Tyrone Jenkins Yeah I wrote how he towers over everyone but still you can take some info out of it. Like his handle.
@JeffProjectSpurs@tyrone You got anything on Bertans and the rest of the Euro peeps the Spurs are interested in?
Richards looks pretty athletic. Though the guy he crossed up looks like he just finished his high school basketball season. I'd like to see him against better talent like the Summer league or D-League.
This site has the best breaking news out of any Spurs sites. I come here first for news, even over the express. I used to go to 48 minutes of hell a lot but the writing on this site is at that level now. This site has improved so much in the past year.
@Stewart77 i agree with stewart this site is boss. as for the video it's nice to see RR in action after his injury. i don't really care about the competition as long as he's active and recovering.
@Stewart77 I really appreciate the compliment. Warms my heart. So what did you think of the vid? I like how he shows some good handle w/ the ball for a big man.
@Joey Agree but he is like a man among boys. He is very developed physically. Need to see how he does against players his size.
