After an impressive performance for the U20 squad where he averaged averaged 22.3 points and 8.1 rebounds per game, San Antonio Spurs draftee Ryan Richards has been called up to the Great Britain Senior Men’s squad, and will being training with the team this weekend.
Although this call up is for the preliminary squad, for Spurs fans this is truly a good sign of his development on the court.
Many pointed out he looked like a man among boys in the U20 tournament but now he will be tested against competition at his physical level.
What do you think Spurs fans? Feel he is ready to come to the NBA and join the Spurs?
The spurs needs him yesterday! Can you imagine how good he is today had they signed him last year? Let's not further waste his talent. Come on Pop take some risks and use rookies instead. If the schedule of the Argentina games would allow you to go to europe, make a first-hand look at richards. Manu is a known commodity and perhaps somebody may go there instead and go to europe. It could be rewarding for the spurs after you can also go to Latvia? where bertans may play with the national team and to Hungary for a look-see ar Adam Hanga. All this could shorten the entry of these players after all some of your players are no longer spring roosters.
