San Antonio Spurs' rookie James Anderson has been sent to the Austin Toros (Spurs' D-League affiliate) to continue to get back in game shape after fully recovering from his injured right foot he suffered back in November.

After last night's Toros game against the New Mexico Thunderbirds, Toros' coach Brad Jones spoke on Anderson and directions he received from the Spurs on Anderson's recovery.

I think he could use at least another week with the Toros. Offensively, he looks great and he can score over just about anyone, but where I see the rustiness is on defense. His lateral quickness isn't what it was before he got injured and he got burned on d a few times in the past few games, but that's all just conditioning. Shouldn't be too much longer.

I think Anderson will just play three games with the Toros then comeback with the Spurs.
