San Antonio Spurs' Manu Ginobili will not be in action tonight as the Spurs host the Portland Trail Blazers.
Ginobili suffered a thigh contusion in last night's loss to the Memphis Grizzlies.
This will make avenging Portland's recent win over the Spurs in Portland with Tim Duncan still out of action due to an ankle injury.
If the Spurs manage to win this game without the Big three and McDyess playing, it will be really HUGE for them.
@Andrews I like what you said, please Spurs make it happen tonight! Ginobili and TD will be fine in time.
A big game from George Hill and Tony Parker coupled with some help from Blair and Splitter will get the win for the Spurs tonight!
Hopefully, guys like Hill, Parker, RJ, Neal, Tiago and Blair steps up and get a huge win over Portland.
It's good to rest Manu tonight it will be better for the Spurs heading into the playoffs but at the same time, they needed a big win.
MANU has been so tired. He should have rested after that Denver game. He cannot be the HERO all the time. He's putting all the load on his shoulders. The team has other good shooters, use them. TIAGO has proven he can play and will improve WHEN given more minutes to play. He rebounds and block shots. He doesn't need to score BIG. the team is poor in rebounding. HE can handle this. TO King Parker needs to share the ball better. THEY win everytime they share the ball well. DEFENSE is the KEY. DO NOT leave a GOOD shooters wide open. NEED to learn some stuff from Bruce Bowen.
i'm not surprised, since we were on a back-to-back, so i figured about 24 hours would have not been enough time for him to heal. but with the game back home now, i'm hoping our shorthanded crew can feed off from the crowd.
The Spurs are shorthanded, but this is a great time to use the bench and see what we've got. I expected extended minutes from Anderson and Novak, George Hill will likely start for Manu.
@RG8907 what? Is Popovich purposely trying to loose this game?
@LFJeremy best comment u ever left! LOL
@LFJeremy A Spurs loss coupled with an injury to Manu Ginobili will make any Spurs fan say those kind of things it's normal. Hopefully they can pull out a victory tonight.
