Duncan says Popovich 'excited' to coach West All-Stars

Written by Jeff Garcia on .

Although none of the San Antonio Spurs "Big Three" were voted by the fans to start in the 2011 All-Star game, Spurs' coach Gregg Popovich has been named to coach the Western Conference All-Stars in Los Angeles.

Spurs fans know Popovich doesn't care for these personal accolades but according to Tim Duncan, Pop has been "excited" about coaching at the All-Star game all season.

This is Duncan trying to play with Pop we all know how Pop likes to use the All Star break to take some time off. But Congrats Pop you deserve it! Now lets just hope that Manu and Timmy makes it to the All Star game.

@LFJeremy Yea I'm sure Pop is dreading using what is normally vacation time to coach the all-star game.
