Vince Carter thinks he's Dirk Nowitzki
Written by Jeff Garcia on .
OK so should it be "Vince Nowitzki" or should it be "Dirk Carter?"
Either way, it seems the Dallas Mavericks' newly acquired player Vince Carter either didn't know he grabbed the wrong name card for his team photo and held it upside down or his new teammates played one hilarious practical joke on him.
You would think veteran players would check their name card before getting in front of the camera.
Then again, this might be the only way Vince ever gets to be seen as an NBA champ seeing how the Mavs won it all last season led by Dirk.
Why are players shy away from the spurs? Money. They can't pay. With so many sf possibilities, it seems all shy away frfom the spurs. From butler, hill, williams, carter, etc they all want money. The spurs drafted so many shooting guards and small forwards, and no pf/c. They drafted joseph when they had the chance to sign a big guy. Nowthe spurs signed players from the d-league. Crumbs, that's what they are. Never heard players.
@JohnAbney Sounds as if you are a Mavs fan. What would be your interest in Spurs land news?
@MarshallDragon yup closet mavs fan right here, oh wait that's right, can't stand ANY team in the DFW area! Spurs fan living in Houston so I have to like the rockets a little bit. I do have to say, the project spurs guys must love Dallas a lot more then Houston.
@MarshallDragon so we feel each others pain. I grew up the same way, plus most of my family lives up there. Dallas sports fans are IMO the worst in all of sports
@JohnAbney Sorry I misunderstood you John. I'm a Spurs fan and have to live in Kingwood myself. I hold the same distaste for DFW teams, mainly because I grew up in a house that loved any Big D wind that blew.
@JohnAbney well i couldn't resist putting up that VC fail. LOL. Plus it gives SAS fans something to poke fun about the Mavs
The Mavericks have a gaping hole at small forward with the departure of Caron Butler that Carter will fill perfectly. It also helps that Carter has played with Jason Kidd and I assume he was consulted before the Mavericks pursued this signing.
