San Antonio Spurs training camp invitee Frank Hassell chances of making the team are looking good. He has survived prior roster cuts and with the team needing size, Hassell fits the bill.
Nicknamed "The Tank" this 6-9 forward would bring youth, energy and give Tim Duncan some rest during this shortened season.

Too bad he just got waived. Man, pretty brutal of the Spurs sending him out like that right before Christmas.

@Kobeisapunk Ah, that sucks!!! Hope he finds a team that has a need for his spot. But regarding cutting him right before christmas, I think christmas eve was the NBA deadline. Total bummer tho.
Hassell seems like an incredibly genuine fellow. Glad to hear the importance he places on fundamentals. Hope he makes the team!
