Josh Howard has 'nice' meeting with Spurs

The San Antonio Spurs have been in the hunt for a small forward since word of the lockout's end and one name that surfaced was free agent small forward Josh Howard.

It was also reported Howard was to meet with San Antonio this past Tuesday and according to a tweet from Washington Post's Michael Lee, Howard did indeed meet with the Spurs and it appears the meeting went smoothly.

projectspursjoshhowardNow I am sure all meetings with potential free agents will be nice so take this with a grain of salt Spurs fans. As they say, "It is what it is," but if anything it does appear the Spurs are intent on bringing in another small forward to an already stacked position.

Currently, the Spurs have Kawhi Leonard, Richard Jefferson, and James Anderson as the most viable players to play the position (not taking anything away from Danny Green or Da'Sean Butler).

So something has to give and with his lackluster performance in the past two seasons, all signs are pointing to the end of RJ's tenure in San Antonio.

So the spurs are dumping rj. Instead of signing a sf, why not pf/c? K>Kaman is a good fit to the team and at the same time give the sf in the lineup the break; Green, Butler, Leonard are not bad choices. What about Steve Novak?
