Not so fast Grizzlies
With the series and their season on the line last night, the San Antonio Spurs fought off the Memphis Grizzlies to win in overtime 110-103 to force a Game 6 in Memphis this Friday thanks to two clutch shots from Manu Ginobili and especially, rookie Gary Neal.
But how confident were the Grizzlies and their fans about a Game 5 win? Well, it seems they were ready to wear "We Beat The Spurs" hats:
Beating the Spurs on the road in Game 5 would have been worthy of handing out courtside "We Beat The Spurs" hats. Instead, the impressive Grizz now look to Friday night's Game 6 in Memphis for their biggest win in franchise history. They've already experienced their most painful loss.
Talk about jinxing your team Memphis. Might want to hold off on any celebration from this point going forward.
