When the San Antonio Spurs play the Atlanta Hawks in Philips Arena tonight, the Hawks may be missing their captain, Josh Smith.
Smith is questionable for tonight's game due to a right knee sprain. He did not practice yesterday and although earlier reports claimed Smith would not play, Michael Cunningham of the Atlanta Journal Constitution says he will be a game time decision.
If Smith does not play, look for the Hawks to put a bigger lineup on the floor against the Spurs, with Jason Collins starting at center, Al Horford sliding over to power forward and Marvin Williams playing small forward.
The game tips at 6 p.m CST tonight. For more on tonight's game, read Jeff Garcia's Gameday Q&A with Deborah Horton of Hawks Highlights.
just saw on NBA.com in the headline section that Smith will be out tonight, so that's pretty huge in our favor. even if he's not playing, we need to make sure we take care of business still and get the W. GO SPURS GO!!!
The Hawks are playing very well lately but that's not an excuse, this is the time for the Spurs to step up.
