First the Memphis Grizzlies made "We Beat The Spurs" hats thinking their team would return from San Antonio with the series over and sending the San Antonio Spurs on an early summer vacation.
A bit premature wasn't it? The Spurs ended up winning a thrilling overtime game forcing a Game 6 in Memphis this Friday.
However, are the Spurs doing the same?
The Spurs have put tickets up for sale for Game 7 back in San Antonio. As a Spurs fan, you got to appreciate the confidence the team has that there will be a decisive game 7 at the AT&T Center but at the same time, I'm sure it will provide some lockerroom material for the Grizzlies for Game 6. Not to mention make Spurs fans wonder if this is one huge jinx for their beloved team.
Let's hope the Spurs avoid any jinx and indeed return from Memphis for a Game 7 and not to start packing their travel bags.
I'm not a fan of this. I remember in 05 against the pistons in game 6 the spurs had the parade planned already and that bulletin board material was there for the detroit. Granted we won in 7, but we lost game 6. I'm already concerned with our chances going into memphis friday. After game 4 the body language of the guys on the bench looked horrible. No need to add any fire to grizzlies already confident attitude. Let's try and win in game 6 before thinking about 7. 7 does not exist without it! Don't like this move at all.
@KyleDerrick wow i remember that! that really fueled the pistons. i remember them even talking about it after they won game 6. ughhhh
@JeffProjectSpurs Exactly my thoughts... ughhh... especially for a team that preaches pounding the rock and going 1 game at a time. In my opinion, the only way we win tomorrow is if the 3 ball is going down. that's how we won during the season, that's how we'll have to win. I cant see them winning a grind it out game at their house. yesterday was the most theyve hit all series
