LeBron James, Dwight Howard and Derrick Rose. Those names are currently being mentioned as possible winners of the 2011 NBA MVP but San Antonio Spurs' Manu Ginobili?
By now, it is a foregone conclusion that the winner of the MVP trophy will be Rose; however, Dr. Jack Ramsey of ESPN radio casts his vote for Ginobili:
Earlier in the season, there was chatter about Ginobili possibly being a strong candidate for MVP. That chatter died off as soon as Rose began to tear it up, James helping the Heat turn things around after a rocky start and Howard, well being Howard.
Still, got to love Dr. Jack's guts to pick Ginobili despite the consensus Rose will be the MVP. But that leads me to a question I have for Spurs fans, do you feel Manu should get some votes for MVP? If so why?
MVP or not, we love Manu. the Spurs are more balance this season so no clear MVP but NBA title is more important than anything.
Yes he deserves some votes because he is the best closer on the Spurs. If you will define MVP as the best player on the best team, Manu gets th nod.
